Risk Assessment
A Risk Assessment is a vital industry standard document that must be completed before any filming is allowed to commence. This is where shooting set up and locations are assessed along with any mishaps, and safety precautions are then put in place to prevent the likelihood of these events occurring.
A particular in-depth example of our Risk Assesment is as follows:
Activity: Running down the hallway.
Hazard: Trips and Falls
People who may be harmed: Emily (our actor) and ourselves (the camera crew)
Property that may be damaged: Artwork hanging in the hallway.
Risk controls already in place: Hazardous objects removed from the area beforehand.
Risk Assesment (low, moderate, high, extreme): Low Risk
Likelihood of risk occurring: Moderate Risk.
Talent Release Contract:
As Emily is under 18 we required a signature from a parent or guardian, stating permission for her to be in our film; this is shown through a 'Talent Release Contract'.
